In this exhibition, the works convey strong emotional tension with unique lines and gestures, and different colors give direct visual experience.
Thirteen emerging artists explore space, memory and human emotions through diverse creative forms and profound reflections, allowing viewers to experience different sensory stimulation and emotional resonance through the abstract elements and rich colors in their works.
Le K's (b.1994) work, 01 THERE was originally inspired by Blaise Pascal's statement “I can approve of those only who seek in tears for happiness. The combination of different lengths and colors of cotton threads, wool yarns and cotton fabrics suggests the choice of different paths and the encounters that may accompany them, and that ultimately we will all follow a certain path towards “There”. On the right side of the work hangs a half-open, handwritten letter to the future, which needs to be opened at the right moment - as an answer to the present, and also as the end of the pursuit.
本次展览中，作品以独特的线条和姿态传达出强烈的感情张力，不同的色彩给人以直接的视觉体验。
13位新锐艺术家通过多样的创作形式和深刻的思考，探讨空间、记忆和人类情感，让观众通过作品中的抽象元素和丰富色彩，体验到不同的感官刺激和情感共鸣。
Le K（b.1994）的参展作品 01 THERE 那儿 最初灵感来源于 Blaise Pascal 所说的“I can approve of those only who seek in tears for happiness.”不同长短和颜色的棉线、毛纱、棉布组合暗示着不同道路的选择以及可能伴随的遭遇，最终我们都会沿着某条路，走向 “There那儿”。作品的右侧挂着一封半开合的，写给未来的手写信，需要在合适的某一刻打开 - 作为对当下的回答，也作为追寻的结尾。
Le K (b.1994)
Le K 跨学科艺术家，策展人，1994年出生于中国广州，目前工作生活于多伦多、广州。研究生就读于法国 Institut d'Études Supérieures des Arts。创作主要受 Existentialism (存在主义), Arte Povera (贫穷艺术) , Abstract Expressionism （抽象表现主义）及 Brutalism (粗野主义) 的影响。自2021年后转而以哲学与当代性话题的联结梳理创作脉络，通过⼀系列综合材料绘画和装置作品的可视轮廓与质感勾起⽆法回避的孤独个人的非理性情绪体验，同时打开通往藏匿在开放性命题的差异性回应背后的 “自我感”及“自由选择”的维度。
籍著分段式的调研，艺术家目前以构建标准与疑虑、身份与关系、本真与信念为主要切入点向观众展示她将持续发展的探究。创作动机也继而转向试图更确切地表达和企及语言所不能的驳杂思考与情绪。Le K的每个架上作品都会有一个带序列号的吊牌，这些吊牌序列号因艺术家的偏好所以均为单数，吊牌隐藏着 Le K 对消费主义文化范式下如何正视艺术价值的追寻。
Le K （b.1994 in Guangzhou, China) is a Multidisciplinary artist and curator currently based in Toronto and Guangzhou. she completed her MA at the Institut d'Études Supérieures des Arts. Her practice is mainly influenced by existentialism, poverty art, abstract expressionism and brutalism.
Her practice interrogates conceptions of philosophy with a strong emphasis on contemporary topics, participation and predictive behavioural analytics. Through the visual contours and textures of her work，Le K unpacks irrational springs of human life, researches the dimensions of “sense of self” and “freedom of choice” that underlie differential responses to open-ended propositions. Her current focus is on the construction of standards and doubts, identities and relationships, truths and beliefs. The motivation for her work has also shifted to attempting to more precisely express and reach out to the complexity of thoughts and emotions that are beyond the reach of language.
