Jiaying Ding (b.1997), born in Shanghai, based in Shanghai

Jiaying Ding is a Shanghai-based artist working with sculpture and installation. Her practice examines how systems organise bodies, desire and violence, and how subjects recognize themselves through those structures. In her recent mirror works, mirror-polished stainless steel is combined with silicone skin, hair, biological materials and piercing hardware. Cutting, transplantation, perforation, impact and corrosion interrupt the reflflective surface, turning self-recognition into an unstable encounter between attraction, threat and control. Ding is currently extending this research into a broader metal-based body of work, treating steel not only as support but as structure, skin, image and instrument. She holds an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London (2024), and a BSc in Psychology and Language Sciences from University College London (2020).

Xuan Huang (b.1995), born in Taipei, based in Taipei

Xuan Huang was born in 1995 in Taipei, Taiwan. With most of her works being performance and film, she uses her own body as the material, and uses simple but persistent movements as a scale for testing in the environment, exploring many subtle limitations and the operations of routine in daily life. She also focuses on objects and their functions in life to discover their interrelationship with human gestures and images in use and tries to reverse the audience's perception through misuse.

Jian Xu (b.1999), born in Anhui, based in Hangzhou

Jian Xu (b. 1999, Anhui, China) holds an MFA from the School of Intermedia Art at the China Academy of Art and currently lives and works in Hangzhou. As a member of the generation born around the turn of the millennium, he maintains a longstanding interest in the shifting patterns of mass behavior in the digital age and the expanding frontiers of technology—concerns that form the core of his artistic practice and research. Working across moving image, installation, photography, and other media, he seeks to respond to and reflect upon our increasingly datafied world. In an era where everything is quantifiable, his work asks: how does data reconfigure the very act of looking?
